Tranship/Feeder Connection Check

Tranship/Feeder Connection Check

A Voyage Operator needs to check if transshipment is being carried out as per schedule. If the transshipment connection is missed, the Sales and Customer Service is required to be informed at the earliest. The Tranship/Feeder Connection Check (OPBKW06) screen enables you to calculate the connection time gap between the first transshipment vessel and the second vessel in the transshipment port.

At least, one search criteria is necessary to perform search in this screen. While searching results for Transshipment Connection, PCC.NET considers only the Requested, Accepted and Reconciled Bookings.

The Tranship/Feeder Connection Check (OPBKW06) screen can be accessed from Menu > Operational > Booking > Tranship/Feeder Connection Check.

Ensure that you have the appropriate permissions to access the screen and perform the necessary tasks. Follow your local support procedures if you are unsure as to whether you have the correct permissions.

General Information

Screen-specific Components

  • Access DetailsAccess Details

    • To search for Connections and export the Search Result, you must have either the Create Booking or View Booking role with View Tranship/Feeder Connection System Action privilege.

  • Points to rememberPoints to remember

    • If any port call gets deleted from any voyage which is already used in a Booking, PCC.NET considers that particular leg of the Booking invalid. Thus, when you search transshipment connection, it ignores that connection with the next/previous leg and does not display it in the search result. You can search for Feeder connectivity with another voyage by entering Booking Number or Transshipment Port or the corresponding voyage as a second vessel.

    • Daily Auto Notifications:

      • Booking Route Approvers receive daily automatic e-mail notifications (at a predetermined time) when the connection status at any Transshipment port records become Warning or Error with respect to its previous connecting vessel due to Voyage Schedule update. The same email is copied to all associated email addresses configured against the transshipment port as well.  The e-mails are sent only for Accepted and Reconciled Bookings. PCC.NET considers both Mother and Feeder legs.

      • Certain Transshipment Port users are notified (at a predetermined time) when Booking information is updated within a week before the ETA. PCC.NET considers only Booking Route and vessel/feeder change as Booking change in this aspect; if the changes are made only in the Booking Status and Booking Revenue, the notification e-mails are not sent. The port names that receive the notifications (such as Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Yokohama), are defined in the Code Definition (ADCMW02) screen (domain =BKG_CHANGE_ALERT, for development usage only), by PCC.NET Administrative users. A consolidated e-mail is sent Transshipment port wise - vessel/voyage/feeder wise to the corresponding leg approvers and the e-mail addresses configured against the corresponding transshipment port(s) present in the Booking as per the associated e-mail subscription against the transshipment port.
