Feeder Service

Feeder Service

A Feeder Service operates between ports to collect vehicles from different ports and transport them to central terminals where they are loaded onto the mother vessels or further transport by road into the hub port's hinterland. In this way the smaller vessels feed the mother vessels, which carry thousands of vehicles. Thus, when creating a Booking, a feeder service might be required while planning the Booking route.

The Feeder Service (OPBKW09) screen is used for managing feeder services that can be used in Booking. Based on the set up done while creating the Feeder Service record, the feeder leg of the route can become auto-approved in Booking.

Using this screen, you can search for Feeder Service records already registered in PCC.NET, register new Feeder Service records, and edit/delete the details of the registered Feeder Service record.

The Feeder Service (OPBKW09) screen can be accessed from Menu > Operational > Booking > Feeder Service.

Ensure that you have the appropriate permissions to access the screen and perform the necessary tasks. Follow your local support procedures if you are unsure as to whether you have the correct permissions.
