Description

Navigation Pane...The Online Help is divided into two main sections:

  • Left pane: The navigation pane appears on the left side of the window and displays four tabs: Contents, Index, Search, and Glossary. These tabs are the core navigational features of the Online Help.

  • Right pane: A topic on the right displays the actual Online Help topics.

The Table of Contents tab is displayed by default. This tab provides a listing of available Help topics. When you click a closed book, it opens to display its topics. The topics are arranged as per the menu items available in the PCC.NET application. Click a topic to view it in the right-hand pane.

The Index tab displays the index entries. To search a keyword, you can type the first few letters of the keyword in the text box or scroll the list to locate a keyword. Click the keyword to display the corresponding Help topic in the right-hand pane.

Use the Search tab to search for a specific term appearing in all the topics of the Online Help. Unlike the Index, which lists author-defined keywords, Search lists words used within the topics. Type a keyword in the text box and click the Submit button. You can:

  • Search for Individual words.

  • Use Phrases within quotes (“”) to look for an exact match.

The Search tab displays a list of all the topics in the Online Help that contain the word or phrase you entered. The topics are displayed in order of relevance. Double-click a topic in the list to display the corresponding Help topic in the right-hand pane, with each word in the search string highlighted.

Notes:

  • To remove highlighting, clear the Highlight search results check box.

  • The search string is not case-sensitive.

Use the Glossary tab to find a definition of a term. The Glossary provides a list of terms and definitions specific to the Online Help.
